Phase two mapping reaches out into the remote areas

Area coverage : 8 South central regions like; Bay, Bakol, Gedo, Middle Jubba

Lower Jubba , Hiran, Galgadud, South Mudug .

Facilitators : Sheegow, Ismail and Enow

  Introduction

During the first phase of the mapping which was conducted between March and April 2005 covered only three regions, like Benadir, Lower Shabelle and Middle Shabelle and the remaining 8 regions were covered through the second phase of mapping extension.

Outcome of the Mapping

•  Completed South-central mapping exercise

•  Creation of all-inclusive legitimate zonal working group.

•  Promotion of NSA's support program in the area visited.

•  Identified local NSA's operating there.

•  Compiled zonal NSA'S directory
